Today, Friday, 1st November 2024, is the Solemnity of ALL SAINTS.
It is a Holy Day of Obligation.
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the Code of Canon Law, “…every Catholic faithful is obliged to actively participate at the Holy Mass, as well as abstain from such work or business that would inhibit the worship to be given to God, the joy proper of the Lord’s Day (Sunday), or the due relaxation of mind and body” … (cf CCC #2180, CIC can. 1247).
