Lugbe, Abuja – The Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON) of St. John Mary Vianney Catholic Church, Trademoore, Lugbe, is pleased to invite all parishioners, especially the youth, to a special Jersey Sunday celebration scheduled for Sunday, 9th August 2026.
With the inspiring theme “Jersey Sunday”, the event promises a unique blend of faith, fellowship, and fun as members of the parish gather wearing their favourite club or national team jerseys. Jersey Sunday is designed to strengthen the bonds of unity among young people while building excitement and momentum toward the much-anticipated Youth Fiesta.
The CYON encourages everyone to participate by wearing their favourite jersey, inviting friends and family, and joining in this memorable celebration of togetherness and Christian youth spirit.
As preparations for the Youth Fiesta continue, raffle tickets are still available for only ₦500. Participants stand the chance to win exciting prizes, including a power bank, wireless earbuds, and many other fantastic gifts, which will be presented during the Youth Fiesta.
The organisation also reminds all youth members that the weekly church cleanup continues every Saturday after Mass. Active participation is encouraged as part of our shared commitment to serving God and maintaining a welcoming place of worship.
